Choosing and registering
Find the right class and sign up.
Are MAX public classes taught in person or online?
MAX public open enrollment classes are taught live online by an instructor. You join from your own computer and ask questions in real time. In-person delivery is available only for private and custom training that a company books for its own team.
How do I register for a MAX class?
Pick a class and date on maxtrain.com and register online, or call 513.322.8888 or email customerservice@maxtrain.com and a MAX representative will register you. Include the class name, the date you want, and the name of each student.
How do I know which class is right for me?
Start with your goal and your current experience. Browse classes by topic on maxtrain.com, or email advisor@maxtrain.com. A MAX training advisor will recommend a class or a sequence of classes that fits your role, your experience, and any certification you want to earn.
Does MAX offer career bootcamps?
MAX is not scheduling public career bootcamp cohorts right now because the entry-level hiring market has been inconsistent. MAX can still map you to a sequence of instructor-led courses that covers the same skills as a bootcamp, and can build a bootcamp for your company team.
Do I need experience before I register?
It depends on the class. Every course page lists prerequisites and recommended experience. If you are unsure whether you are ready, email advisor@maxtrain.com with your background and goal, and an advisor will point you to the right starting level.
Class policies and logistics
Cancellations, substitutions, and re-sits.
What is MAX's class cancellation policy?
Notify registrar@maxtrain.com or call 513.322.8888 at least 10 business days before the class start date. Cancellations with less than 10 business days notice, and no-shows, are charged the full invoice amount.
Can someone else attend in my place?
Yes. A replacement from the same company can take a registered student's seat. Tell the registrar before the class starts so the substitute can be set up with the class materials and access.
How do I reschedule a class?
Contact the registrar at registrar@maxtrain.com or 513.322.8888 before the 10 business day deadline and ask to move to another date. Requests made inside that window follow the cancellation terms, so reach out as early as you can.
What is the re-sit policy?
Eligible students may re-sit a class they have taken. A no-show or a cancellation with less than 10 business days notice on a re-sit forfeits future re-sit eligibility, so cancel early if your plans change.
Funding and payment
Grants and programs that can cover training costs.
What funding options are available for MAX training?
Eligible Ohio employers and individuals can use programs such as TechCred, IMAP, and WIOA to offset training costs. Employers can also pay directly. Funding rules differ by program, so contact MAX before you register to confirm eligibility.
What is TechCred?
TechCred is an Ohio program that reimburses employers for upskilling employees with technology credentials. It pays up to $1,000 per credential, with a maximum of $30,000 per employer per round. Learn more on the MAX TechCred page or get help applying at techcred@maxtrain.com.
Who is eligible for TechCred?

What is IMAP?
IMAP, the Individual Microcredential Assistance Program, helps eligible individuals pay for training toward in-demand credentials. Applicants must be Ohio residents and US citizens. Email imap@maxtrain.com to check your eligibility and available classes.
What is WIOA funding?
WIOA funding comes from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and can help eligible job seekers pay for approved training. Your local workforce office decides eligibility. MAX can help you with the class side of the process at wioa@maxtrain.com.

What is private training at MAX?
Private training is a MAX class delivered only to your company's team, on dates you choose, by a live MAX instructor. Delivery can be virtual or onsite. It suits teams that need to learn the same skills at the same time.
Can MAX customize a class for my team?
Yes. MAX can adjust topics, examples, and labs to match your tools, your processes, and your team's skill level. Share your goals with a MAX advisor and they will outline a custom agenda before you commit.
Can MAX build a corporate bootcamp?
Yes. A corporate bootcamp combines several courses into one structured program for your team, with a schedule and skills mapped to your business goals. It is delivered as private training, so your team learns together.
How do I get a quote for team training?
Call 513.322.8888 or email customerservice@maxtrain.com with the topic, the number of people, and your target dates. A MAX advisor will respond with options and pricing for open enrollment seats or a private class.
Certifications and exams
How classes connect to credentials.
Do MAX classes prepare me for certification exams?
Many MAX classes align to industry and vendor certifications such as ITIL, PMP, and Microsoft credentials. Each course page names the certification the class supports and the topics covered, so you can match the class to the exam.
Is the exam included in the class price?
It varies by certification. Some exams are taken separately and billed by the certifying body. The course page and your MAX advisor can confirm whether an exam fee or voucher applies to the class you choose.
