What is the Ohio IMAP program?

The Individual Microcredential Assistance Program (IMAP) was created by the Ohio Department of Development in consultation with the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation to allow Ohioans to participate in a training program and receive one or more microcredentials. While the program is targeted toward individuals who are low-income, partially unemployed, or totally unemployed, all Ohioans are eligible to receive training through IMAP.

The IMAP program is a grant awarded to training providers to help Ohio residents who are unemployed or underemployed upskill for the future. The grant funding is limited and is given to residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Our 2025 IMAP-approved funding has all been allocated, but we are currently applying for more funds in 2026. Fill out the form below, and a MAX advisor will add you to our IMAP contact list, and we will reach out to keep you up to date on the funding status.
