Tomorrow I will be attending the Apprenti National Apprenticeship & Workforce Summit in Boston.

I am pumped!

Apprenti is a non-profit organization established in 2015. Apprenti is a program of the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) Workforce Institute.  Apprenti has taken a unique workforce development angle; focusing on creating a more diverse and inclusive technology workforce by providing a pathway for individuals to enter tech careers through apprenticeships.

I remember meeting Jennifer Carlton, Co-Founder & Executive Director in 2016 at a Microsoft conference in Seattle, she shared her vision, and I knew then this was going to be a game changer. Today Apprenti is national, almost 10 years old, and going strong.

I am excited to be in the room with amazing organizations like PerScholas, SkillStorm, TLG Learning, just to name a few.  I believe in the mission and the outcomes driven by Apprenti. I hope to learn from Correlation One, Learn Quest, and ACI Learning,  and be inspired by the efforts they are making to push the Apprenti mission.

I want to bring ideas back to my team that can help my region.

  • What more can my company do to connect forward-thinking companies with Apprenti?
  • Does my company and marketing clearly explain the process and advantages of Apprenti?

The Apprenti Summit in Boston will connect leaders passionate about uplifting people and positively impacting our workforce when we sit down in a room together and share a common goal. We can do amazing things.   Stay tuned.
