MAX CAREERS WE ARE LOOKING FOR OUR NEXT TEAM MEMBER JOB TITLE: Business Development Associate REPORTS TO: President/CEO GENERAL FUNCTION Self-motivated, self-directed individual functioning within an associate role to provide comprehensive support to Customer Service Manager (CSM) and President to assist customers/prospects in need of group / individual IT training at MAX Technical Training. An environment of collaborative contribution toward selling private, custom, and public classes with a focus on relationship development with potential/incoming students. Business Development Associate work contributes to good customer relationships and enables CSM and President to spend more time selling. This is an entry-level position in which a successful candidate will be mentored and developed into a full Account Management role with MAX major accounts. Skills Excellent administrative/clerical skills with computer proficiency Must possess attention to detail to include customers’ requests entry accurately in ‘live time’; communicate clear instructions to other departments Excellent interpersonal skills to interface directly with customers and collaborate effectively with other departments at MAX: marketing, training, accounting, and operations Excellent customer service skills for polite and effective communication with customers’ inquiries or complaints Must possess excellent writing skills Responsible, punctual, and reliable Foundational technical knowledge of IT required Qualifications A high school diploma and/or vocational qualification or previous experience in customer service, sales support, or administrative support Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, CRM knowledge, and LinkedIn Key Competencies Business acumen Motivating others Interpersonal savvy Flexibility with the ability to “think on your feet” Drive for results Oral, written, and presentation skills Time management Responsive and patient Builder of effective teams Self-motivated Self-directed PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Business Development Associate (BDA) carries out various functions to assist CSM and President in achieving identified sales goals to perform efficiently Contact customers and prospects to arrange conference calls or face to face meetings on behalf of CSM and President Prepare quotations or statements of work under the direction of CSM and President Answer customers' questions about classes, prices, availability Contact prospective or existing customers to discuss how services can align with their current needs Emphasize or recommend service features based on knowledge of customers' needs and vendor capabilities and limitations Identify and upsell opportunities Create and maintain customer records and activities; complete database additions, updates and general maintenance in ‘live time’ Provide prompt follow-up on customers’ phone calls/e-mails Follow up on quotes, “reserved” status students, leads and sales opportunities under the direction of CSM and President Update details when contacts change or when customers request quotations or place orders Process incoming orders or via mail, phone, e-mail, and online ordering Document customer challenges on record so sales representatives and managers have a complete picture of customers’ interactions with MAX Technical Training Oversight of private class management: confirm content, logistics, prepare roster, prepare workflow, and follow up Collect specific contacts from CRM for targeted marketing campaigns Communicate with Registrar regarding any rescheduled classes and next steps with clients affected Quote prices, credit terms, contract terms, or fulfillment dates for services Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to explain technical product or service information to customers and design custom education solutions Attend networking events and staff MAX booth at events Provide backup responsibilities for phone coverage Growth Opportunity – the ideal candidate will become a full Business Development Manager in one year and manage accounts independently and will receive additional compensation based on success.
