Advanced Data Center Switching
Alert MeDescription
Advanced Data Center Switching (ADCX) Introduction
Welcome to the Advanced Data Center Switching course, a comprehensive two-day program designed for professionals aiming to deepen their understanding of modern data center technologies. This instructor-led course delves into the advanced features and functionalities of QFX5k and MX/vMX devices, focusing on key areas such as IP Fabric, Virtual eXtensible Local Area Network (VXLAN), and Ethernet VPN (EVPN) signaling.
Participants will explore the intricacies of Layer 2 and Layer 3 Gateways in a VXLAN context, along with Data Center Interconnect (DCI) applications for VXLAN overlays.
Throughout the course, you’ll engage with the Junos OS, specifically on the QFX5100 and vMX Series platforms, gaining hands-on experience in configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting these complex systems. We’ll cover the essentials of IP Fabric routing, scaling techniques, and the implementation of an EBGP-based IP Fabric.
The course also addresses the role of VXLAN in data center environments, including its control and data plane aspects in a controller-less overlay network. Furthermore, you’ll learn about EVPN’s benefits for VXLAN signaling and delve into the operational framework of the EVPN protocol.
By the end of this course, you should be proficient in configuring and monitoring EVPN for VXLAN, understanding the nuances of Data Center Interconnect, and be well-versed in the control and data plane dynamics of an MPLS VPN, particularly in the context of a VXLAN overlay with EVPN signaling.
This program is based on Junos OS Release 14.1X53 and is ideal for those looking to enhance their skill set in advanced data center switching technologies.
