Shelley enjoys helping customers & students design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions for SQL Server and SharePoint, and she is involved in educating IT professionals and business analysts on how to use and integrate the Microsoft BI suite of technologies, including PowerPivot, DAX, and PowerView.

Shelley has worked as a SQL Server administrator / developer on multiple projects, including writing stored procedures and functions, setting up security, and writing and scheduling maintenance tasks.
Shelley has worked on multiple SQL Server BI projects, including architecting and building data warehouses using SQL Server and SSIS, and then designing cubes in SSAS to answer questions on data, and she has written many SSRS reports.
Shelley has also worked with multiple government and healthcare agencies on SharePoint planning and infrastructure projects, including implementing Managed Metadata Services, User Profile Services, and SharePoint Search and incorporating HIPAA and SOX requirements/auditing.

Shelley is originally from Pampa, Texas, lived in New York City for 11 years, and now resides in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband, Dean, and her stepdaughter, Tessa.
Shelley is the founder and director of a non-profit outreach program in New York City called Project: Light NYC, Inc. Their main program, Kids’ Club, meets on Saturdays in New York City and helps inner city children learn life lessons and envision new possibilities for their lives.
